An adhesive based on aqueous dispersions for bonding fibres to rubber substrates, characterized by a combination of a) 100 parts by weight of dispersed butadiene/acrylonitrile rubber, b) 100 to 500 parts by weight of polyfunctional aromatic nitroso compounds, and optionally other auxiliaries, such a halogen-containing polymers and/or copolymers of (meth)acrylic acid esters and also emulsifiers, defoaming agents, dyes, pigments, antistatic agents.
