MEASURING METHOD OF ABRASIVE GRAIN EJECTION QUANTITY IN GRINDSTONE

PURPOSE:To measure the ejection quantity of abrasive grains of a grindstone from a binding agent by putting an electrode plate in contact with the abrasive grains of the grindstone having the binding agent made of a conductive material so as to detect the electrostatic capacity between the binding agent and electrode plate. CONSTITUTION:A lead wire 8 is connected to a binding agent 3 made of a conductive agent. An electrode 5 connected to a lead wire 9 is put in contact with abrasive grains 2. The electrostatic capacity between the binding agent 3 and electrode 5 is measured across the lead wires 8, 9. After the measurement, an ejection quantity (l) is determined from a graph indicating the relationship between the electrostatic capacity and ejection quantity which has been previously measured for the same type of grindstone. The size of the electrode 5 is preferably made three times or more of the maximum continuous cutting edge distance of the grindstone 1.
