PURPOSE:To attain the titled jigs easy in exchange thereof at the time of changing the kind of optical connector by a method wherein the mechanism for holding the optical connector is provided on a mounting base, and this mounting base is removably mounted to a stationary ring fixed to a bench in a work shop. CONSTITUTION:A mounting base 2 including a connector holding mechanism 3 is removably mounted to a stationary ring 1. Marks P are engraved on both the mounting base 2 and the stationary ring 1 for positioning. The mounting base 2 is fitted into the inner peripheral surface of the stationary ring 1 such that a bow-like cut end face 13 corresponds to a position where a spring plunger 16 projects out of the inner peripheral surface. The mounting base 2 is rotated to make a positioning hole 18 in the mounting base 2 coincident with the spring plunger 16, so that a fitting head 17 is fitted into the positioning hole 18. After confirming such state based on the coincidence of both marks P where a ultrasonic horn corresponds to the welding projection of an optical connector, it becomes possible to carry out ultrasonic welding operation. |
