PURPOSE:To retrieve a desired data in a simple and efficient way, by cutting out the specific part of plural data stored in a storage means to display it at a display means, and then designating and displaying the desired data with an input means while looking at the display of said specific part of the data. CONSTITUTION:Plural data are stored in a memory 1, and a command indicating the display of an index of the data is supplied to a CPU5 from an input device 3. The data are read out of the memory 1 under the control of the CPU5 which received the above-mentioned command. Under such conditions, a cutting- out device 4 is actuated to cut out the specific part of the read-out data. These specific parts are synthesized at the CPU5 in order of the read-out. The synthesized specific part of the data is displayed at a display 2. Then the desired reference index part is indicated by a light pen, etc. while looking at the plural specific parts displayed at the display 2. At the same time, a command indicating the retrieval is supplied from the device 3, and the desired data is displayed at the display 2. In such a way, the data can be retrieved in a simple way. |
