The stove consists of a vertical, cylindrical, refractory-lined combustion chamber (F) with an enclosed top (11). The fire grating (15) rests on the bottom frame (16) and has ash slots (17). A spreader (23) is driven, by the shaft (21). Fuel is fed through a tube (30) using a screw feeder. Products of combustion pass through the flue (31) in which a water/gas heat exchanger is located. Secondary air is admitted tangentially through three equi-spaced inlets (41). A single motor drives the screw feeder and spreader.
