PURPOSE:To recognize the position of a welding torch accurately without reference to the consumption of a welding chip and a TIG electrode, by comparing a corrected absolute origin with the momentary welding torch position, and thus recognizing and correcting the position of the welding torch. CONSTITUTION:In a memory 11, a signal passed through a switch 10 is stored, and a comparison arithmetic device 12 compares the output of the memory 11 with the output of an amplifier 9 momentarily and every time comparison is made, a welding torch 6 is moved in one direction digitally (on on-off basis) or in a desired direction only for a specific extent. An instruction circuit 13 supplies instructions for the movement direction, movement extent, etc., of the welding torch 6 to a motor, a governor 14, etc., according to the amount of electricity of the comparison arithmetic device 12. A counte 15 sets time intervals for storing the memory with a reference signal for an absolute origin, and at every set time, a specific-time pulse signal is generated. |
