PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for devices that move rolls back and forth on the outside part by fitting a pair of roll bearing cages which support a pair of rolls freely rotatably to a yoke, making one of said cages freely slidable with respect to the yoke, and projecting the plungers in the cylinder chambers inscribed on the inside circumferences of said yoke to the outside circumference of the roll bearing cage. CONSTITUTION:A pair of upper and lower roll bearing cages 4, 12 which support rolls 5, 14 freely rotatably are fitted to a yoke 3, and the cage 12 is made freely slidable with respect to the yoke 3. Annular cylinder chambers 25, 26 are formed on the inside circumferential surface of the yoke 3 with which the outside circumferential surface of the cage 12 contacts slidingly. Annular plungers 11 which partition the cylinder chambers to two are projected on the outside circumference of the cage 12 in sliding contact with the inside circumferential surfaces of the chambers 25, 26. Further oil passages for moving the roll 14 supported by the cage 12 upward by feeding and discharging of pressure oil to and from the chambers 25, 26 are provided. |
