PURPOSE:To adjust the installing height and level of a rotor and a bearing bracket by forming a supporting seat at the bracket of a thrust bearing arranged under the rotor and installing a jack between the seat and a foundation, thereby simultaneously raising the rotor and the bracket. CONSTITUTION:A supporting seat 3a is provided at the arm of a bearing bracket 3 of a thrust bearing 8 provided under a rotor 2 which has high rotating speed and small diameter, and a jack 7 is disposed hydraulically or via screws between the seat 3a and the foundation 2. The piston of the jack 7 is raised to lift both the bracket 3 and the rotor 1, a linear 6 of the prescribed thickness is inserted into the gap between the bracket 3 and the foundation base 5, the jack 7 is then lowered, and the bracket 3 is eventually clamped via bolts to the base 5. In this manner, even if no space in which the jack 7 is placed is provided between the lower part of the rotor 1 and the foundation 2, the installing height of the rotor and the adjustment of the level can be performed. |
