Continuous process for unloading containers, in particular moulds, and device for carrying out said process, wherein the full containers are moved over or under in each case one emptied container onto rotating components (20), after which, by rotating the components (20), the two containers are lifted or lowered, so that the emptied container can be moved out, and after which, by means of a further rotation, the container which has been emptied in the meantime or is still full is lowered or raised, so that a new full container can be moved in above it or below it onto the rotating components. The rotating components have carriers (22) which form supporting surfaces and which can each be withdrawn from the plane of rotation so as not to bump against the respective container during a rotation. The rotating components (20) have a common drive (26) and the carriers can be designed as rim rollers (22). The device is used in particular for the emptying of foamed moulds. <IMAGE>
