PURPOSE:To obtain a high molecular film which is improved in mechanical properties and Young's modulus by performing an industrially efficient heat treatment wherein the high molecular film is heated by radiating near-infrared rays of a specific wavelength for a relatively short time. CONSTITUTION:A high molecular film which absorbs more than 1% of near- infrared rays of 0.7-3mu in wavelength is heat treated by radiating said near- infrared rays for 0.1-180sec. This method is especially effective when the secondary transition point of said high molecular film is higher than 100 deg.C (e.g.: polycarbonate, polyether, etc.) and Td (decomposition point)-Tm(melting point)= DELTAT<50 deg.C (e.g.: aromatic polyamide polymer, etc.). |
