<p>A solenoid operated fluid pressure control valve comprises a valve member slidable within a bore which opens into a chamber. The chamber communicates with an outlet and an inlet communicates with the end of the bore remote from the chamber. The valve member has a portion in the chamber which is of larger area than the area of the valve member in the bore. A drilling extends through the valve member and opens onto the end face of the valve member in the chamber and the chamber defines a surface which faces the end face. A solenoid is provided and an armature on the valve member whereby the force acting on the valve member can be varied to control the pressure difference between the inlet and the outlet.</p> |
