PURPOSE:To execute diagonal erasion to a magnetic tape, by providing plural erase heads in the width direction of the magnetic tape, and turning on and off these erase heads in order when erasion starts and ends. CONSTITUTION:An output of a clock generator CLG obtains a pulse signal SE1 by a frequency divider SEP, is inputted to one input terminal of AND circuits 1, 2, and when a switch SW1 is turned on, an output of the AND circuit 1 is inputted to a ring counter ROS. The ring counter is inputted to a set terminal of latching circuits LG1, LG2, etc. in order in accordance with an input clock P1, sets an output of the latching circuit to H in order, and accordingly, triode AC switches TR1, TR2, etc. are turned on in order, and an erasing current from an electric power supply ACS is applied to erase heads EH1, EH2, etc. in order. When a switch SW2 is turned off, the erase heads EH1, EH2, etc. are cut off in order, in the same way. |
