PURPOSE:To prevent a variation of a characteristic of a magneto-resistance effect (MR) element, that is to say, a drop of an asymmetrical property of an output, by controlling a current flowing to one of both elements or gain of an amplifier related to this current, by a means for detecting an asymmetrical property of an output of the MR element. CONSTITUTION:On a common base body 10, for instance, a non-magnetic sapphire base body, the first and the second MR elements 11, 12 which receive the same signal magnetic field and bias magnetic field are formed, for instance, by extending them like a band in one direction continuously. Subsequently, from both outside ends of these first and second MR elements 11, 12 a terminal 13 and 14 are derived, and from the connecting middle point of both the elements 11, 12, an intermediate terminal 15 is derived. As for these MR elements 11, 12, for instance, at least one of its magnetic anisotropy HK and film thickness is made different from each other, so as to have each different magnetic characteristic. |
