PURPOSE:To easily obtain the accurate pitch of repetition of a transmission type screen which is made of transparent material and has numbers of convex lenses on one surface, by providing recessed parts in the other surface including nonconvergence parts for incident light, and forming light shielding films in the recessed parts. CONSTITUTION:On one surface 2a of a transparent material 3 such as acrylic resin, semicylindrical convex lenses 1 are formed repeatedly. Light incident to the surface of a convex lens 1 as shown by arrows converges to the other flat surface 2b, thus obtaining a lenticular screen. In this case, recessed parts 5 as light shielding films 4 and projecting parts 6 as area including convergence parts of incident light are formed at the inside of the flat surface 2b. The entire surface of the other surface 2b including those nonconvergence parts is applied with slurry, which is then wiped off to leave the slurry only in the recessed parts 5, forming the light shielding film 4 securely. This transmission type screen is manufactured easily by molding plastics by compression. Consequently, the pitch of repetition of the light-shielding films corresponds to the pitch of repetition of the convex lenses accurately. |
