PURPOSE:To enable to perform an accurate measurement over a wide range covering from a low velocity of flow to a high velocity of flow, by a metod wherein an exhaust gas dynamic pressure and temperature at a measuring point are detected by a Pitot tube and a thermocouple to automatically regulate a suction gas flow following an exhaust gas state. CONSTITUTION:A pulse transmitter 20 is attached to a gas meter 21 for suction flow measuring application, and a pulse transmitter 20 is connected to a miniature computer 24 of an automating device body 3. A Pitot tube 6 and a thermocouple 7 are mounted at a measuring point in a flue duct 4, the Pitot tube 6 is connected to a differential pressure converter 23 of the automating device body 3, and the thermocouple 7 and the differential pressure converter 23 are linked to the miniature computer 24 in the body 3. Detected values of an exhaust gas dynamic pressure and temperature at the measured point, and conditions for deciding a suction amount required for an uniform suction, such as the coefficient of the Pitot tube 6, an inner diameter of a suction nozzle 9, temperature of a gas meter 24, are inputted to the miniature computer 24, an uniform suction amount is operated the value as an input, and a velocity of flow regulating valve 16 is caused to automatically open and close in proportion to the pulse of the gas meter 21. |
