The invention concerns a method for the washing and drying of machinery, or the like, and reconditioning of the washing liquid, whereby the machine (15) is washed, e.g. hosed down, and/or covered with heated washing liquid in a bay (17) outside the wash room (11), so that the machinery and the room (11) largely retains at least an element of the wash liquid's temperature. The objective behind this invention is to produce an energy efficient method of washing and drying machinery whilst avoiding the movement of same. Another objective, is to be able to reconstitute the washing liquid so that it can be used repeatedly. Used washing liquid and impurities can be managed without placing stress on drainage system or being the cause of other problems related to the environment.These tasks have been solved by, after wash or hose down completion, lowering the pressure and/or raising the temperature the room, to the liquid's steam temperature so that the steamed washing liquid condenses in the bay outside the room, so that the washing liquid and its heat content is in the main transferred to this, whilst remaining liquid in the lowest part of the room is distilled whereby impurities and the like are separated and the distillation process ceases.<IMAGE> |
