<p>Method for obtaining cylindrical hollow structures (1) of large section, resting on the ground by a generatrix, by assembling on site longitudinal elements (3, 4, 5), prepared in advance. This method comprises the determination by calculations of the optimum cross-section profile of a conduit as a function of known parameters concerning the installation site, the utilization conditions of the conduit and its proper characteristics, dividing said optimum profile of the cross-section into adjacent sections each corresponding to a longitudinal conduit element and forming together a substantially continuous inner surface, and giving the cross-section of at least some of said elements a variable thickness to adapt it to strains exerted on the element in question.</p> |
