The invention relates to a sprung suspension for wheels and seats of vehicles, having a helical compression spring (1) which has a section of its overall length, which is preferably the central section, whose turns spacing is increased, and having an insert (2) which is likewise of helical shape and is matched to the spring, but has a considerably greater flexibility and is inserted such that it is screwed into the end turns (3) which are not pressed together and are held in a pan (4) having a correspondingly matched shape.
