A hydraulic dual circuit servo brake device is proposed which is provided with a control valve (solenoid valve 17) which is intended for introducing the pressure medium of a pressure creating device (1, 2) into the brake circuits. The control valve is designed as a solenoid valve (17) which can be actuated via signal emitters, valves (11, 12) or the like according to the particular position of the master cylinder pistons (5, 6). When combined with an antilock device, the solenoid valve (17) can also be actuated as a function of the work of the antilock system. It is possible to incorporate the solenoid valve (17) into multi-position valves of an antilock control. The dual circuit servo brake device is intended for use in passenger cars of the upper mid-range. <IMAGE>
