PURPOSE:To reduce the surge impedance of a resin molded transformer by utilizing a low loss oriented silicon steel plate prepared through scratch processing. CONSTITUTION:Primary and secondary coils 7, 8 are assembled by respectively inserting insulating resin layers 9, 10 in an iron core 5 prepared by combining and piling on top of each of the low loss oriented silicon steel plates with subdivided magnetic domains through scratch processing in such a manner that the rolling direction roughly agrees to the direction of the magnetic flux. Then 1.3- 1.8T (preferably 1.5T or over) is selected as the magnetic flux density B of the iron core. Since the magnetizing current in a transformer and the inductance L of the transformer is decreased equivalently, the surge impedance Z0 can be far reduced by 20-30%. |
