PURPOSE:To improve insulation stability and reliability and to make a unit transformer compact and lightweight when a plurality of them are connected in parallel by a method wherein a cut is provided in an electric field releasing shield provided in the winding of the unit transformer, the shield being roughly at the same potential as that of lead, the lead being arranged in the cut. CONSTITUTION:A shield 22f provided vertically in the center of an external winding 22b3 wound in two upwardly and downwardly is electrically connected to a strand in its neighborhood section and is at the same potential as that of a lead 21d on the high tension side. by making the length of the shield 22f in the radial direction partially less than that of the external winding 22b3, a circular arc cut 22g is made in the periphery of the shield 22f and the lead 21d on the high tension side is arranged therein by curving the lead. As to a lead 21e on the low tension side, a cut is made in an electric field releasing shield 22h at the end of the external winding being at the same potential as that of the lead 21e on the low potential side so that the lead 21e may be arranged in the cut. |
