<p>The lens inserting device is mounted on a horizontal base (1) which has a mirror (3) on its upper surface. A vertical column (9) extending from the base has a pair of parallel cylinders (30) at its upper end which rotate in opposite directions. A cylindrical housing (14) is mounted below the cylinders with its bore vertical. A shaft (16) is mounted within the bore and has a lens supporting platform (20) at the upper end. The platform has an aperture in it aligned with the mirror so that the eye can be positioned directly over the lens.</p> |
