PURPOSE:To lessen power loss and improve durability in each individual realy, by selecting and using separate power sources when the case is in the following 3 conditions, quick heating, stable preheating, and afterglow, in case of a glow plug controller for a Diesel engine. CONSTITUTION:A key switch 8 is turned on and thereby current flow is started. Since resistance of a glow plug is small, the output of a comparator 72 comes to zero and the glow plug is energized with current via a transistor 7F and the first relay 5. When the temperature of the glow plug reaches 900 deg.C, the output of the comparator 72 comes to 1 whereby the second relay is energized by the transistor 7D and enters into a state of stable preheating. Next, in time of cranking, as a transistor 7C is turned on, the third relay 9 is energized, carrying out the afterflow. With this, not only power loss can be lessened but durability in each individual switching element is improved. |
