PURPOSE:To reduce friction loss by continuously forming a ring expanding coiled spring holding part and a reaction enduring part which supports a sliding reaction of one rail element at the internal peripheral side of the rail element, the external peripheral end of which slidingly contacts the internal peripheral face of a cylinder liner. CONSTITUTION:An oil ring 1 which is fit in an oil ring groove 4a of a piston 4 is made up of a one-rail part 1a whose external peripheral end makes sliding contact with the internal peripheral face of a ring liner 2, a coil holding part 1b which is continuously formed at the internal peripheral end side of the rail part and holds a coiled spring 3 to urge it in the expanding direction, and a reaction enduring part 1c which is continuously formed at one end of the coiled spring holding part 1b and extends in the opposite direction to the external peripheral end of the rail part 1a. Through-holes 1e are drilled at equal intervals in the protruding part of the V-shaped coil enduring part 1b in the circumferential direction thereof, whereby the coiled spring 3 may be seated in the groove 1d. |
