PURPOSE:To cast barlike bodies of a small diameter surely by pressing a crucible contg. molten metal to the bottom surface of a mold then turning over both crucible and mold and the molten metal into cavity. CONSTITUTION:A crucible 16 contg. molten metal M is pressed to the bottom end of a mold 11, that is, the end face having a sprue 12a by means of a crucible presser 17 in tight contact therewith. When the mold 11 and the crucible 16 are rotated by revolving a holizontal shaft 13, the molten metal M in the crucible 16 flows into cavity 12 by gravity. Right before or after this, that is, at the optimum timing for suction when the axial centers of the cavity 12 come again in a perpendicular direction, a limit switch 18 is tripped by a limit switch actuator 19. Then, a solenoid valve 26 opens and the inside of the cavity 12 is evacuated by a vacuum tank 28, by which the molten metal M is run quickly in the cavity 12 by overcoming the viscosity and surface tension thereof up to a filter 24. |
