<p>PURPOSE:To perform a magnification/reduction process of a picture without changing the line width of the original picture pattern, by deciding whether or not the picture data which is not serving as the background within a prescribed range at a place near the coordinate position which is decided in accordance with the magnification or reduction ratio of the picture. CONSTITUTION:A control part 8 feeds the picture element position data of a picture successively to a coordinate converting part 9. The part 9 calculates the coordinates of the position corresponding to the picture element on the original picture corresponding to the picture element of an output picture in accordance with the magnification/reduction ratio of the picture. Then an approximate point inspecting part 3 decides whether or not the picture element data of the original picture which is not serving as the background exists within a prescribed distance from the position of the coordinates. Furthermore the similar inspections are carried out through a vertical line inspection part 4, a horizontal line inspection part 5 and an oblique inspection part 6 respectively. When at least one of the results of inspections obtained through the parts 3, 4, 5 and 6 is ''1'', the corresponding coordinates are set at value 1 and then delivered through an OR circuit 7.</p> |
