The capsule consists of an upper chamber (1) and a lower chamber (2) which are separated from each other by a film (15). The lower chamber (2) is designed in two parts, with an inner part (3) axially displaceable in an outer part (4). The outer part (4) is provided with a bellows formation (5). By compression of the capsule, the film (15) is pierced by a circular cutting edge (7), which is arranged in the inner part (3). Upon further compression of the capsule, the lower chamber (2) latches firmly into the upper chamber (1) in the manner of a snap closure (8, 12). Both parts are now hermetically connected to one another. The mercury in the capsule and the silver filings are then mixed intimately with one another and converted to silver amalgam. Following the mixing procedure, the capsule is opened in order for the silver amalgam to be removed. For this purpose, the upper chamber (1) is provided with a predetermined breaking point. <IMAGE> |
