For a force transducer with a measuring spindle which can be loaded, the invention shows how to produce the supports for the measuring spindle in such a way that they are convex relative to the housing. Depending on the curvature of the convexity, the span is changed to a varying degree during loading of the measuring spindle. The curvature of the convexity is now selected in such a way that the span change, via the bending-stress changes caused through this, counteracts the natural linearity error of the force transducer. In force transducers frequently found in practice, it is sufficient to design the supports as a toroidal disc. The smaller diameter of the torus is here about one-third to one-quarter of the thickness of the measuring spindle.
