Device for operational monitoring of a signal lamp

It is provided for the monitoring of the operating state of a signal lamp respectively to insert one light guide (4, 10) into the signal lamp (1) and into the holding part (3) accommodating the signal lamp. Both light guides are optically connected in series and serve the purpose of guiding a specific proportion of the light emitted from a luminous incandescent filament (6) of the signal lamp to an external indicator (13) which controls the actual monitoring device. The particular advantage of this arrangement is to be seen in that the monitoring result actually depends exclusively on the operating state of the signal lamp, and that no expenditure is required on aligning and fixing the light guides when exchanging signal lamps. The device is provided for remote monitoring of traffic signal installations. <IMAGE>
