PURPOSE:To quickly fix the results of recording without lowering the quality of printed by providing a heating element to heat a recording medium after recording to near a platen. CONSTITUTION:A heating element 12 to heat a recorded recording medium 11 to near the platen 1 of a drop-on-demand type ink jet printer to make a printing on the recording medium 11 on the platen 1 by an ink jet printing head 7 mounted on a carriage 4. The position of the heating element 12 may be in the face of non-recording face side or may be the place (a) facing the recording face. |
