<p>PURPOSE:To provide a reinforced resin bent tube, by a method wherein a thermosetting resin and a reinforcing material layer are formed around a mandrel in which a rigid core rod is inserted into an elastic cylinder, a shrink film is wound, the core rod is pulled off, said layer is bent under a condition that it remains uncured, and after said film is shrunk, it is cured. CONSTITUTION:A molding material 2, consisting of a thermosetting resin and a reinforcing material, is wound around a mandrel 1, in which a core rod 12 is inserted into an elastic cylinder 11, to form a pipe wall layer 3. A shrink film 4 is then rolled around the pipe wall layer 3. The core rod 12 is pulled off while the pipe wall layer 3 remains uncured, and the pipe wall layer 3 is formed into an uncured bend pipe in conformity with a curve mold 5. After, resulting from the heating of the uncured bend pipe, said film 4 is shrunk to adhere it firmly to the outer surface of the bend pipe, it is cured at a normal temperature or by heating, the elastic cylinder 11 is released from a mold, and the film 4 is peeled. This permits the production of a bent pipe having an inner and an outer surfaces which are both excellent in smoothness.</p> |
