PURPOSE:To carry sludge containing a thread without troubles by providing a scraper plate opposed to the outer periphery of a screw blade with a minute gap therebetween and extended along the longitudinal direction of the screw. CONSTITUTION:A thread Th in sludge supplied to a screw 2 is moved axially and peripherally with rotation of a screw blade 2'. The thread is caught by a scraper plate 3 at a part thereof to be stopped temporarily, and the other part of the thread that is out of contact with the scraper plate 3 continues to turn with the screw blade 2, which results in that the thread Th is separated from the scraper plate 3 to stay between the adjoining screw blades 2', 2'. Thus, the thread can be smoothly carried axially by the screw blade 2' with sludge without coiling around the screw blade 2. |
