An electrochemical reserve cell, or reserve battery comprising several electrochemical reserve cells, which has a short activation time, and is of relatively small dimensions. The cell comprises at least two electrodes (3,7) through each of which a number of paths extend which allow electrolyte solution to pass through each of the two electrodes towards another electrode (5) in order to activate the cell.
