PURPOSE:To enhance the degree of adhesion of matrix resin and a reinforcing material, by a method wherein, in case a molding material for a fiber-reinforced plastic is manufactured through impregnation of the matrix resin into a fibrous reinforcing material, ultrasonic vibration is applied to said resin at a time when said resin is impregnated. CONSTITUTION:A numeral 1a is a cloth or a matform reinforcing material, and a numeral 2 is an impregnating tank which contains a matrix resin liquid 3. A numeral 4 is an ultrasonic vibrator which is positioned so that it is partially or totally embedded under the surface of the resin liquid 3. The reinforcing material 1a moves in the proximity of the vibrator 4, and receives an ultrasonic vibration produced by the vibrator 4. This removes fine bubbles adhered to the reinforcing material surface, and permits the sufficient impregnation of resin into even fine gaps, which results in enabling to obtain a molded product having the high degree of adhesion of matrix resin to the reinforcing material. |
