<p>The installation for locating tree trunks (30) in a sawmill, has a carrier (2) which is located in a vertical frame (1) that allows adjustment of the horizontal load (30). Each side of the carrier location frame is provided with pairs of photocell transmitters and receivers (22,23), which form a sensor arrangement. The contact free detection of the tree trunk size by the sensor (21) is used to control the carrier frame movement. The load (30) can thus be automatically centred as it is moved to the cutting station.</p> |
