PURPOSE:To obtain a seal shaft means in a simple way, by generating axial sealing force with the use of a floating type thrust ring to which axial thrust is applied. CONSTITUTION:A floating type thrust ring 91 is rotatably fitted into a ring receiving annular groove 96 formed in a shaft 7, by means of fitting with a micro-gap. Further, a swingable scroll 2 can be slightly moved between a stationary scroll 1 and the floating type thrust ring 91. In operation. The swingable scroll 2 is rotatably supported by a thrust bearing 91 by applying pressure to the floating type thrust ring 91 with the use of hydraulic pressure which is introduced into a hydraulic pocket 91. With this arrangement, the stationary scroll 1 and the swingable scroll 2 are always sealed in the axial direction. |
