PURPOSE:To improve sound shielding effect by providing an elastic sealing piece in a slit of a cover which closes a shaft penetrating a partition wall. CONSTITUTION:In order to install a cover 9, a installation slit 13 is pushed in as it is in contact with a steering column 7. In this condition, the cover 9 is installed around the steering column 7 while an inner periphery 9d of the cover 9 is fitted onto the steering column 7. Next, an outer periphery of the cover 9 is attached to a dash insulator 11 which has been attached previously to a dash panel 5. Both right and left inner peripheries 13a and 13b of the installation slit 13 are brought into contact, and a fastener 17 is closed. Both right and left inner peripheries 13a and 13b are kept as they are brought in contact, and an elastic piece 15 is held in such a manner that it is inserted between sound absorbers 9b and they are touching elastically with each other. |
