PURPOSE:To reduce a displacement space of a partition plate needed for opening and closing the lower end opening of a collecting box by displacing each partition plate to discharge sheets of paper as they are piled face to face. CONSTITUTION:A partition mechanism is constituted from a partition section 80 consisting of partition plates 86, 87, a relative motion mechanism 81 for reciprocating relatively the respective partition plates and a drive section 82 for the partition plates. When a grooved cam 96 is rotated by a reversible motor 95 to move the partition plate 87 in the direction G, the partition plate 86 is also in the direction G. However the displacement of the partition plate 86 is two times that of the partition plate 87 by links 81a-81d. Thus, when a follower 98 reaches a terminal portion 96c of cam groove, both partition plates are approximately superposed on each other and bills accumulated on the partition plate are dropped from a lower end opening 62a of a collecting box 62 into a safe 101. A displacement space of the partition plate necessary for opening and closing said plate is approximately halved by this two stage system partition mechanism, compared with the one stage system one. |
