PURPOSE:To prevent a wiper blade from being deformed in one direction by permitting the wiper blade to be paused at either lower part of left or right sides on a window surface. CONSTITUTION:When a wiper switch 12 is OFF while a wiper arm 2 is being swung in the direction E, a current is fed, because a brush 11 of a position detecting switch 30 is in contact with the first electrode 8, to keep the running of a wiper motor 6 until the wiper arm 2 reaches the proximity of the right lower part 5 of a window surface 3. At the proximity of the wiper arm 2 to the right lower part 5, the brush 11 separates from the first electrode 8, on account of which the electrification of the wiper motor 6 is interrupted. Immediately after the interruption, the brush 11 is shifted by the inertia force to come into contact with a projection 9a of the second electrode 9. Since the armature of the wiper motor 6 is short-circuited, an electric brake is applied so that both the wiper blade 1 and the arm 2 come to a stop at the right lower part 5 of the wind surface 3. If the both are required to come to a stop at the left lower part 4, the wiper switch 12 is OFF while the sames are being swung in the direction H. |
