PURPOSE:To obtain the joining strength of a thermopolastic polyamideimide resin member which is stable and excellent even under a high temperature, by using thermopolastic polyamideimide resin having a specific water-absoption ratio for a friction welding method or an ultrasonic welding method. CONSTITUTION:When a thermoplastic polyamideimide member is melted and joined to the same or another kind of member by a friction welding method or an ultrasonic welding method, a thermopolastic polyamideimide resin member having a water-absorption ratio of 0.5% or above, and preferably of 1.0-3.0% is used for joining. Thermoplastic polyamideimide resin used therein is an aromatic polymer having a repeated unit, as the main constituent unit, of 50-100mol% which is expressed by the formulaI(Ar is a trivalent aromatic group containing one or more rings with six carbon members, in which two carbonyl groups combined with adjacent cabon atoms in the benzene ring of the Ar group constitute bivalence; R is a bivalent aromatic and/or aliphatic residual group; and R' is H, methyl or phenyl), and having, in addition, a polyamide unit or a polyimide unit of the formula II or III in the rare of less than 50mol%. |
