PURPOSE:To exactly execute transfer or white to a form, by switching the corona discarge polarity at the time of the transfer, in accordance with necessity, and utilizing its electrostatic attracting force or repulsing force. CONSTITUTION:On the circumferential surface of a photosensitive drum 1, (+) charge is charged and exposed, and on an electrostatic latent image 2 corresponding to a picture of an original, the (+) charge stays behind, and a toner 3 charged to (-) adheres onto the electrostatic latent image of the photosensitive drum 1. A transfer colotron 5 is provided so as to pinch a form 4, and when the toner adhering onto the electrostatic latent image 2 is made to adhere onto the form 4, corona discharge is executed by switching a polarity changeover switch and applying the (+) charge to the colotron 5. As a result, a toner image 6 is transferred onto the form 4. Also, when corona discharge of the same polarity is executed by switching the changeover switch and applying the (-) charge to the colotron 5, the toner 3 is not transferred onto the form 4 but remains adhering onto the electrostatic latent image 2. In this way, transfer or white to the form can be executed exactly. |
