In a gasification generator for finely disperse solids, an outlet line, which is divided into an upper section of constant diameter and at least one lower section of greater diameter, is provided for transferring the molten slag into a downstream stage in the bottom wall of the generator. A dripping-off edge for the slag flowing down along the inner wall of this section is formed through the lowest point of the upper section of the outlet line. The lower section of the outlet line is sized relative to its upper section in such a way that the bottom edge of the lower section is located at a higher level than the prolongation of a diagonal which connects the bottom edge, forming the start of the outlet line, of the generator to the dripping-off edge of the upper section.
