The invention relates to a frame for use in the construction and the production of heat pumps or refrigerating machines. The aim of the invention is to be able to fasten statically the essential components of such a machine in a manner which is exceptionally space-saving and simple in terms of manufacturing. The essential components of such a frame are drawn in Fig. C. The advantages achieved with the invention are: problem-free replaceability of the compressor and of the other components; clearly visible and exceptionally space-saving arrangement of the components; extensive independence from the make of the components and design of the refrigerating circuit; optimum portability of the heat pump by carrying handles; assembly of the components, including the housing, which is favourable in terms of manufacturing and cost-saving; low weight of the heat pump or of the refrigerating aggregate and high stressability of the frame; low costs in frame manufacture by virtue of the use of commercially available rectangular tubes and flat bars. <IMAGE>
