PURPOSE:To enable miniaturization and lightening of a material, by a method wherein 30-60pts.wt., based on 100pts.wt. A total friction material, of glass fiber is mixed as the base material of the friction material. CONSTITUTION:In case a total composition is 100pts.wt., 30-60pts.wt. glass fiber mixed as a wet type friction material. 5-15pts.wt. a binder is used as the current binder in the case of a dry method, and about 10-50pts.wt. a binder in the case of a wet method. In case, for example, a phenolic resin series novolak resin is used as a resin component, hexamethylene-tetramine may be used as a hardener. The mixture ratio of the hardener is suitably about 12-18pts.wt., based on 100pts.wt. a total binder component. In the case of resol resin, no hardener is needed. Additionally, about 5-30pts.wt. various metal powders such as iron powder are used as a friction adjuster. |
