PURPOSE:To prevent destruction of an oil film at a high temperature and high pressure part, by forming a high pressure part to high density while a low pressure part to low density of a cylinder liner, made of a sintered ferro alloy, and sufficiently supplying impregnating oil to the high temperature and high pressure part. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder liner 1 impregnated with oil is fitted in a cylinder block 2, and oil in a cavity 5, used as an oil trap and formed between the cylinder liner 1 and an lower end part of the cylinder block 2, is infiltrated into the cylinder liner 1. The cylinder liner 1 consists of sintered ferro alloy, and its upper part is formed to a high density with a small air gap while its lower part is formed to a low density with a large air gap, and supply of impregnating oil can be sufficiently performed by capillarity to the upper part at high pressure. |
