PURPOSE:To eliminate the tracking, by synthesizing the outputs of plural reproduction heads which are distributed in a range larger than the width direction where signals are recorded on plural tracks and with a pitch narrower than the track. CONSTITUTION:Plural reproduction heads HP1-HPm which are more than the number of tracks are provided in a range larger than the width of plural tracks and with a smaller pitch than that of the track. The output of a reproduction head Hi is connected to a reproducing circuit 3i via a reproducing ampifier 2i including a comparator for shaping of waveform. The circuit 3i is provided with a bit clock reproducing circuit, a channel decoder, an error checker, etc. and connected to a time base collector (TBC)5 via a data/block address queuing register circuit 4i. The 1-channel audio PCM signal is delivered from the TBC5 and undergoes a D/A conversion after an error correction carried out through a decoder 6 to be delivered in the form of an analog output 8. In such way, the tracking is eliminated to ensure the correct reproduction. |
