发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF NEGATIVE PLATE FOR ALKALI CELL
摘要 PURPOSE:In the manufacturing method of a paste type cadmium negative plate, to eliminate the production of hydrogen gas by mixing a fiber made of such metal as nobler than the cadmium or more inert in the alkali electrolyte with a paste thereby increasing the strength of the active substance against the dropping and improving the conductivity of the plate. CONSTITUTION:The cadmium oxide powder section 70 and the metal cadmium powder section 30 are mixed, then a nickel metallic fiber is added by 8 portions while the teflon dispersion is added such that the teflon will be 1.5 portions, then it is mixed to produce a paste. Thereafter said paste is applied by the thiciness of 0.3mm. on both faces of a porous iron plate applied with the nickel galvanization, and after drying it is combined with a positive plate and a separator and wound to assemble a cell. The formong electrolyte is 0.1cmA and the conducting time is 20hr, where the cell characteristic is good and 3cmA dischrge capacity is approximately 89% of 0.2cmA discharge capacity which is same with the case where a sintered cadmium negative plate is employed.
