<p>PURPOSE:To improve the performance of ignition and fuel cost by allowing a strong and small-curvature radius swirl flow to form in and near a spiral port by improving the shape of a spiral port type air inlet port. CONSTITUTION:A spiral port 15 consists of a spiral section 15A turning spirally around an air inlet valve shaft 2a and an approach section 15B. The spiral section 15A consists of inner and outer spiral walls 15i and 15o. Also, in the inlet of the approach section 15B, the axis B of the main flow of sucked air flowing at the inlet is on inside of a plane A passing through the center axis O of a cylinder 1, and is extended line crosses the inside of the inner spiral wall 15i designed such that it acrosses from one side of the plane A to the other side N, spirally turns around a valve shaft 2a, and again acrosses the plane A from the other side N and extends to one side M.</p> |
