PURPOSE:To display a specified exponent and a calculated mantissa on a display device systematically, by allowing the resulting exponent obtained by previously specifying, storing, and processing plural exponents which are arithmetic results to coincide with the specified exponent, and calculating the mantissa of the arithmetic result. CONSTITUTION:When a key for exponent specification is operated on key input equipment 2, a control circuit 21 decodes its key data to store the result in a storage part 30. Then when a numeral for arithmetic and an arithmetic command are inputted with other keys, an arithmetic circuit 25 performs arithmetic to store the result in a storage means 31, and then performs conversion in such a way that the mantissa is equalized to the number of the exponent-specified storage means 30 and then stores the processing result in a storage means 27, thereby displaying the arithmetic result on a display device 3 together with the mantissa and specified exponent. |
