PURPOSE:To stably perform idling operation with low revolving speeds by using a system in which when idling revolving number is controlled, the revolving speed of an engine is stepwise lowered and a target idling revolving speed is set up. CONSTITUTION:Solenoid coils 8a-10a for a negative pressure valve, an atmospheric pressure valve and an urgent valve are controlled, and the control lever of a fuel injection pump (not illustrated) is adjusted for its position to control the amount of fuel injected. Such a control unit 6 is connected with a vehicle speed sensor 19 and an engine revolving speed sensor 20 and also provided with a constant speed control circuit 21, a switch control circuit 40, a vehicle speed detection circuit 41, a revolving speed detection circuit 42, and a revolving speed setting circuit 60. When setting target speed for the engine during controlling period for idling revolution, the target speed is varied at least two stages and set. |
